How to Place an Order

Option #1 or Option #2

Option # 1 - PAY DIRECTLY ON WEBSITE

On the web site order page CLICK ON PAYPAL ICON FOR THE ITEM YOU WANT. (See detailed instructions below)
This is the quickest and easiest way to purchase products using your CREDIT CARD. (Trapper Arne never sees your credit card number!) The transfer of money is immediately recorded and the product goes out the same or following business day.
Actual shipping costs depend on package size, weight and distance to buyer and can be adjusted based on current shipping rates. You will always be notified if a rate change is needed. Because the PayPal program uses an averaging way of calculating shipping costs, some costs may be calculated higher, some lower than actual costs, especially when order includes several items. If you believe your shipping costs are high, go to option # 2.

Option # 2 - REQUEST PRICE QUOTE

Send email or mail to Trapper Arne with request for PRICE QUOTE for specified products. Include name, address and ZIP code.
Trapper Arne will calculate the exact shipping costs without delay using US Postal Service or UPS rates, whichever are the lowest and return email with cost quote to buyer. (With latest shipping increases, USPS Standard Post usually is the lowest, but also takes the longest.)

HOW TO PAY USING OPTION # 2

Method "A"

Pay by using your credit card. Trapper Arne will instruct his PayPal account to email you a REQUEST FOR PAYMENT in the amount quoted. (Trapper Arne never sees your card or card number!) This email will guide you how to use your credit card. This is the safe and quick method and the product will go out the same or next business day after payment is transacted.

Method "B"

You can also pay for your purchase by mailing a money order, or personal check to Trapper Arne. Please contact Trapper Arne via email for our mailing address. As soon as payment arrives, the product is sent out to you.

DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS FOR OPTION # 1.

1. Find your product choice on the Order Form page.
2. Click on the PayPal icon (Add Item To Cart.) This takes you to PayPal after a short delay. You can now edit the order quantity or delete the order.
3. Now click on PROCEED TO CHECKOUT for final product and shipping calculations.
OR
Click on CONTINUE SHOPPING which brings you back to the order form.

4. At PAYPAL CHECKOUT, if you don't have a PayPal account, and most people don't, you click on CONTINUE and follow credit card instructions.
If you have a PayPal account, go to LOG IN TO PAYPAL and enter your password.

OVERSEAS NON-US ORDERS

Trapper Arne encourages Non-US orders. Since international customers will not be able order directly from our website, please use option # 2 (request price quote) for international ordering.

WHY TWO CHOICES?

Unfortunately the process of calculating shipping costs is complicated and the PayPal program can not do it based on both weight and distance and size of package. The resulting estimate is an average and a compromise based on a percentage of the value of the products. Consequently, some postal zones are undercharged while others are overcharged. To assure an accurate shipping calculation, Choice #2 is the preferred method.

Normally orders have been shipped using USPS Priority Mail. But recent postal rate increases have made Parcel Post and UPS prices quite competitive, especially orders going east of the Mississippi River. Unfortunately that also results in longer delivery times.

Shipping Damage

In the unfortunate event that your package arrives mishandled or damaged by the shipping company, you will need to contact your local shipper to file a damage claim. Trapper Arne cannot be responsible for shipping damage caused by either USPS or UPS.
